Artwork on Aboriginal mythology by Bernhard Mikuskovics was originally done for his eclectic didgeridoo CD "Thaluplaces" and his additional book "Das Echo des Spiegels" between 1996 and 2000.
Musical tracks from the CD are featured to listen to at Bernhard´s profile @ Didgeridoo Network.
"Thaluplaces" are energetic and sacred places of the earth. In the dreamtime, which represents the aboriginal cosmogony, they have been sanctified by the archetypical ancestral-beings of the australian aborigines."

The renouncement of electroacoustic instruments evokes music in its purest form and originality. The nine powerful compositions mostly feature a dronebase and a delighting richness of vast vibrating overtones. Each of them represents the special "thalu" of an abstract idea, and thus leads to a special place beyond.

Das Buch zur CD "Thaluplaces":
Die essentiellsten Fragen des Lebens "Woher komme ich?", "Wohin gehe ich?", "Woraus besteht das Universum?", "Warum besteht es?" beschreiben nur den analytischen, intellektuellen Aspekt des menschlichen Geistes. Gefühle erscheinen uns oft zu vage, sind aber für ihre vollständige Beantwortung von grundlegender Bedeutung und unverzichtbar. Die archaische Kultur der australischen Aborigines war für die beiden Autoren der Auslöser, sich mit diesen Fragen und dem spirituellen Gedankengut verschiedenster Kulturen und deren Ausdruck in der Kunst zu befassen. Es entstand die Vision, zusammen mit der CD "Thaluplaces" ein ganzheitliches Kunstwerk zu erschaffen, in dem Wort, Bild und Klang zu einer Einheit verschmelzen. Der Entwicklungsroman beinhaltet einen Zyklus von 26 Bildern, verflochten mit australischen Traumzeit-Mythen. Die beiden Künstler nehmen den Leser mit auf ihre Reise in den Ursprung des Seins, lassen ihn den Pulsschlag des Universums fühlen.
