Thank you Mit for your kind words..I've tried to fit playing the didjeridu
with musicians playing Hard Rock to Jazz, but I probably find my most satisfying moments playing quietly in a corner of my house....it's wonderful to hear that your playing this instrument and even have one that creates water like sounds!
Hi Mit. Wondered if you had thought of connecting with Nathaniel House on this site. He's from New York and speaks Nihongo which I think is a Japanese language. Just thought it might be of interest to you because you said in your profile that you were interested in meeting up with other didge players and he has said the same thing!
Hi there! Wondered if you are making progress with your rhythms. I went to my didge club yesterday and they thought I had made a lot of progress with my rhythms......I can now keep a simple rhythm going for about two minutes without any gaps in the breathing. What method do you use for remembering your rhythms? Perhaps you are musically gifted and it just happens naturally. I can get a simple rhythm going easily enough but I don't remember them the next day so I have to put words to the rhythm so that I remember it. One of the ones I am using at the moment is 'I've got a piece of cake, I'm going to eat it' with the in breath on 'got' and going'. It would be interesting to know how you are doing it. Oh and by the way, if you are interested in the 'deep' side of didgeridoo playing you might like to join in on the worldwide didgeridoo meditation day which is on the 22nd of June (I think) .....just look under 'groups' and go to the one called WMD support group for more information. Cheers.
Hi ! Welcome to the site. How did you discover the didgeridoo? How far have you got with your playing? If you want to see other female players playing on this site I suggest you click on Jen Gergen's site and watch her videos or on Pamela Mortensen's site. I have been playing for nine months so if you are interested in what another beginner is practising you could watch the two practice videos on my page. If you want any help to find sites that give advise on how to play the didgeridoo let me know. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. I'm in England so can't meet you in person but am glad to meet you online.
